Whistler Composting Facility
COMMERCIAL PROJECTS
The Whistler composting facility was part of the effort to make Whistler more environmentally friendly or “green” in preparation for the 2010 winter Olympics. This facility was built from the ground up and took about 8 months to complete. The purpose of the facility is to divert waste from the landfill and treat whistler biosolids along with taking compost food waste, wood, and gardening debris and converting it to compostable soil. Our portion of work on the facility was all the concrete form work and placement of concrete. Over 600 square meters of concrete was used.
